Question: I have a 2.53 GHz Pentium 4, a 48X CD burner that has data underrun protection (i.e. burn proof). It will stop the laser when the buffer gets empty so that the burn will not fail. Why would I want Priority Master 2009 to burn a CD? It seems just fine to me.

Answer: The data underrun protection scheme for burning CD's is a can't see the forest for the trees situation. Sure it is better, but still a poor solution to the problem of getting a good CD burn every time. Here is why. That will work only as long as the CD burner program can get at least some CPU time. Put the CD burner program in the background. Run a compute bound program in the foreground. This could be a game, a system performance test or just a lot of programs running such that the background CD burner program gets NO CPU time. The CD burner process will never complete. People who actually try to make CD's with those type of CD hardware still have to tread lightly and they could still fail to burn a CD. At a minimum, the more programs that you have running, the longer it can take to complete the burn process. Using the Priority Master 2009 Auto CD/DVD Burn Mode Status MAXI-PROTECT Package, any computer that can burn a CD/DVD with a full system load, in the least possible time - every time. Therefor, a 400 MHz CPU with a 1X CD burner will still burn the CD faster than the 2.53 GHz with a fancy 48X CD burner when the background CD burner program gets no CPU time. Also, with the burn proof protection turned ON the CD will actually take longer to burn. Using Priority Master 2009, turn this feature OFF for the fastest possible burn time.

You can put any non-compute bound program into the CD/DVD burner list that absolutely has to have the CPU first to guarantee that it gets all of the CPU time it needs. Here is an example:

A weather station at the north pole was receiving data from a satellite. Some times the data was being dropped. By putting the programs into the CD/DVD Burner category, no other programs could interfere with them and no more data was lost. If you have ANY program that absolutely has get all of the CPU time it needs, just add it to the CD/DVD Burner list and it will always be RealTime priority and get the CPU first.
